Twitter is a combination of social network website and micro blogging system which allows its members to exchange short messages almost for any subject they like instantly without downloading any kind of software. Everything are taking place on the web. It is easy to use it and registration lasts a couple of clicks. Members can also set up and customize their profile page.
Within a few years from the foundation (2006) Twitter manage to attract the interest of many people from around the world. More than 25 million of internet users are registered members and many of them using Twitter on a daily basis. According to the statistical data of Alexa, Twitter included in the list with the 50 most visited websites of all in the whole web. Certainly, a number that shows the size and the range of its usefulness.
This is also shows the need of internet users to express themselves by writing without typing long articles. That's why people called it as micro blogging service. Twitter can send and receive messages which their size is equal or less of 140 letters. This limitation can give a lot of help both to readers and writers. For example, it can be a great exercise for those who would like to prove their special skills in writing by typing simple, concise, and comprehensive messages. And in case that writers have even more to say alternatively can add a link to a website relative to the subject that they write for further details and information.
However, there are also two more limitations concerning posting links via Twitter. The first concerns the size of the letters that compose the link, which in total with the rest message can not be bigger than 140 letters (letters of message+letters of link=140 total letters). And the second has mostly to do in order to avoid spam. The constant and massive posting of links could lead members to a permanently ban. Which means that such members will can not access their Twitter account for further use of its services. And certainly this could be a great loss, especially if you manage a business.
Registration to the system is free, fast, and easy and can be completed within seconds by providing an email address, a username, and a password of your choice. Once the account is enabled, it will be ready for direct use. Before start posting your messages take a few minutes to surf around the website in order to become familiar.
