Problems with the claim of religions claiming 'the one true faith'

create God in an image they like. God is not a created being.

Many people actually are called Christians only because they belong to a Christian denomination. Christians who are Christians because of their personal relationship with God, go to a Christian church for the teaching and worship and fellowship that it provides in the routine of life. However, the name Christian was given to them by Pagans. It was not originally considered a religion, but a people who have a relationship with God. Christians were also called followers of the Way. The Way is Jesus, and the naming of these people was about their relationship with God in Christ, not about their organization (religion).

Jewish is a term that identifies a specific people, and those people were followers of God. The Jewish religion was what the organization became known as through laws and rules, and business. As the people who follow God became an organization, religion developed. In the Old testament, the Jews were not warned to beware of other religions, but they were warned to be aware of people who worship other gods. Until those people organized, they were just a select group of worshippers of other gods, Pagans.

Religion is man made. A relationship with God is initiated by God Himself. A relationship with God is all about His Truth, His way, and real Life. That is what Jesus said He is, The Way, the Truth, and the Life, then He said, No man comes to the Father but by Me. This is all about a relationship. The life is given by God through the Spirit. It is called being born again. The way is all about a relationship with God as one discovers God's will for their life. The Truth is all about a relationship with God because there is only one truth to know, and it is God's truth.

Truth cannot be all inclusive of everything that is right and wrong. If the truth is that there is only one true God, then there cannot be multiple true gods. If the truth is that Jesus is who He and God say He is, then the truth cannot also be that Jesus was not who they say He is.

If someone else has it right, and if that right contradicts with the relationship Christians believe they have with God, then the Christians just have it wrong. However, the same is true in the reverse.

The conclusion is that saying that any religion is the only true religion, is wrong. However, because of the massive contradictions between all religions, one can only conclude that not all of them can be truth. Because they all have conflicting beliefs about God and Jesus, and creation, etc, there is good reason to believe that only one of them can be correct, if any of them is.

Therefore, the problems with religions claiming to be the only true one, is something that must be dealt with by every individual. If it is about God, the only way to find the truth is to find God, and that would automatically open up opportunity for a relationship with Him that can transform a life, and would seem to prove to be the only true way. If thousands of people have found that relationship with God, then they will not be in conflict with each other concerning the relationship they have, and how it happened. It had to happen God's way.
