City lights in the night sky.
Eerie feeling,
Even darkness is not safe.
Fire on the horizon,
Glowing in the distance.
Hope of civilization
Compelling us to draw ever closer.
Inside the city boundaries,
Doesn't look as bright here.
Light envelops,
Giving the impression of safety.
Shadowed alleys
Dominate the landscape.
City lights are deceptive.

Under City Lights
My heart thrives under city lights,
My dreams are born on city nights,
I am a child of the golden street
The wind blows right through me.
I shiver from the cold.
Why is this happening to me?
My arms I tightly hold.
The wind cuts
Where did the angels go?
The indian soldiers are laughing
The night-time chess players
Move silently
The guitars play desert
