Except for indexing content, spiders also follow all the links of other websites linked to you and you linking to yourself (other pages). The more links to a specific page, the more important the page (higher rankings). More reason to get registered and linked-up with reputable organisations with high SE rankings. AND more reason to ensure that your web pages on your site are linked to each other, not only in the content itself but also make use of a primary navigation bar (top or bottom) of the most important pages, and repeat it on all pages. Otherwise, little spider will move on to the next site.
And that, dear ones, is what web spiders and meta tags have in common - keywords!
A Meta Tag Analysis reports on ie: individual page size; loading time, title tag, HREF tag, description tag, keyword tag, robots tag, ALT tag(s), author tag, geo-tag, keyword density and poison keywords. Although the Meta Tag Analysis reports on all of these items it does not mean that they are ALL important (or even real) in terms of SEO and up-ing your SE page rankings. One thing I am pretty sure about though is that if you marry the keywords and content of each web page, you most definitely satisfy the tum-tum of a web spider, and you WILL get more hits from the right people. Treat each page individually, as they all convey different messages, ensure the keywords focus, reflect and summarize that page uniquely.
