A dance class is an institution of learning. Teachers impart instructions to students and they gain the knowledge of dancing and practice to become efficient dancers. It is the same as your school or college. As a student you have some definite responsibility to your teacher and the institution. There is a set of rules framed for this known as Golden Rules. You should practice the rules referred hereunder.

Respect the teacher of the dance class without fail. Remember, you are gaining from his experience of several years. Give proper attention to him to understand his instructions better. Be courteous to your teacher and enjoy your dance class. You will be benefited greatly from his expertise.

Join the dance class at right time. Be prepared with your dancing shoes to go to the floor immediately. Your class duration is fixed and any late arrival will reduce the actual instruction time. This is your loss, the teacher will move to other class to maintain his time schedule. Attend each and every class; you will make development in your dancing ability. A timely arrival in the dance class will result in benefits for you in several ways.

Treat your class mates with mutual respect and be nice to them. When the teacher is instructing any other student, do not cause any disruption. On the contrary, try to understand the instruction. It may of great use to you some day. Refrain from using abusive languages at any cost. Always try to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the class. If you are well tempered, you will dance well. Prepare yourself by heart to dance well on the floor and enjoy the fun along with fellow dancers.

When the teacher explains a special move or demonstrates a piece of movement, give full attention to learn the same. Only after the instruction is over, you can present your queries to the teacher. Your full attention should be drawn to learning the process of dancing in a dance class. Only then, you will be able to retain the art and reproduce it whenever necessary.

Listen minutely so that you can understand whatever the teacher is explaining to the students. You will not miss anything not even a step. You will need all the learning to become a successful dancer.

You should wear a comfortable dress for your dance class. Suede and leather footwear are conducive to good dancing. You should give more importance to avoid undesired hazards.

When the instruction process is in progress, let the teacher continue in his work and without any interruption from your side. Refrain from advising your weak partner in front of the instructor. It is a kind of misbehavior on your part.

Present yourself in a perfect frame of mind in the dance class. A pre-occupied brain can not perform well and ultimately destroys the good spirit. Whenever you go to the dancing workshop, prepare yourself with a positive spirit for the dancing class only.

If you follow these important rules, you are sure to succeed. Perfection in dancing will come from untiring practice and pure dedication. Your dance class needs an approach with lots of patience from you.
