Poetry: Church bells

by Cindy Bredwell

Created on: May 24, 2009

The soft sound of metal, in its hollow form

The trembles of soft echos, as they pass though the sky

Reaching the ears of near and far

Placing a smile on their face, even in the turmoil of life

They ride the wind on a cool summer's day

Standing alone as you take it all in

Don't listen to hard, or you'll get more then a chill

When the bells are ringing and someone calls your name

Do not answer for its death that is near
