I've had my Kindle 2 for a while and I have to admit that I love and wished that they would have come out with these a lot sooner than they did. A few years ago, I could have used this when I was away at school. The classes I am talking about are the classes that have to do with reading novels so it would have helped me a great deal.
If you look at the normal books these days, the text can be small compared to if you read on the Kindle. With the Kindle, you have a choice at how big you want the font for when you are reading your books. I have it on the highest setting. I don't have the best eyes, so it really does help me to read better.
You may be asking what the heck is a Kindle 2? The easy answer; a electronic reader that is made by amazon.com. I do have to admit that it is well worth the price I paid for it and the Kindle is not on the cheap side either.
Some of the books that you would buy for the Kindle may be cheaper than their paper counterparts and yet others are the same. I have even heard there are some that have been more expensive, but for the most part, they usually are cheaper than the physical form.
Now that I have mine, I don't think I would ever go back to the physical form. It really does not matter to me to much about not having the smell of new books in the air. If you don't have much room at home, I would suggest this to anyone who likes to read, but does not have much room.
What I like about it is that if I go somewhere, I can carry as many books as I want with me. Say I was going on a train or airplane ride; usually I would take a whole bunch of books with me. Now I don't have to worry about that as I can bring as many as I want in my Kindle. The Kindle does have a limit of 1500 books, which is not to bad. I don't have to keep that many on my Kindle at the time as I can put some of my books in my bookshelf over at amazon when I am done reading the book. I can always redownload the book to my Kindle and it will not cost me a penny to do so.
Some other things I like about it are that I can put it out flat on the table and it does not close like a book does when you leave it open. I always hated that as I would lose my place in the book. Now I don't have to worry about it and you can pick up where you left off.
In addition to books, you can also read blogs, magazines and even newspapers through your Kindle. I have only bought books through it as that was my plan when I first bought it. If you look hard enough, there are plenty of books available that are free. Of course, a lot of them are classics, but they are well worth it.
