First dates can be both exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. There are so many questions running through your mind like what you are going to wear and how much of yourself you want to reveal. In my opinion the older you are the more you should find out about your date. If you are just starting out, relax and have fun, it's just the beginning. Here are my favorite top ten tips for a great first date.

Tip #1. What to wear. You only get one chance for a first impression and since your date will start judging at first glance, this is very important. Of course it depends on where you're going but in most cases it's dinner and drinks or a movie from my past experience. For the younger generation there is nothing wrong with a pair of jeans and nice shirt as long as they're respectable and not all torn up. Make them simple jeans without the "juicy butt" written on the back. Have some class, guys make gawk at those girls wearing them but chances are they won't take them home to meet mom. For the cougars out there (35 years and older), I know, you want to show everyone you still got it but please...wear a bra. It's hard to date after 30, Ive been there and didn't meet my husband until I was 35 years old but it's best to keep your dignity and show you have class. Your date will find out soon enough what you have to offer, in the meantime, keep it simple with a nice pair of pants and form fitting top that reveals just a bit of cleavage.

Tip#2. What to eat. I don't recommend anything messy like ribs or pasta. You want to eat at a place where you can use a knife and fork, you'll have enough on your mind let alone worry about if your going to stain your clothes or look like slob. A steakhouse or informal eatery is perfect for a first date. You don't want a chain restaurant because they tend to be noisy and you want to be able to hear your date speak and you don't want to have to shout for them to hear you. Ladies? Don't order a small salad and nibble like a rabbit. Most guys like a woman who eats food. If they think you don't eat they will also think you don't cook!

Tips#3-6 Conversation. I'm making this portion cover 4 tips because there are four separate issues to cover at one time. Politics, Religion, Sex and Personal details of your life. Most people will tell you to steer clear of these topics but I disagree.
