How to make lean meats tasty


Making Lean Meats Tasty is easy to do. There are many marinades that will make the meat tender and tasty for cooking. Select a marinade recipe that suits your way of cooking. It could be any other kind you can think of that has a good and tasty appeal to you.

There are many different ingredients that can be used in a marinade. Some of them are Vinegar,soy,honey,brown sugar,ginger,garlic,olive oil,green onion,beer and any citrus juice. Enzines that are in the vinegar ,beer and citrus juice tenderize the meat. The other ingredients give flavor and juice to the meat. Soy and ginger will give an Oriental flair to the taste. Vinegar can bring out an Italian taste. Citrus fruit gives out a fruity and tropical flavor.

Experiment with the different choices of ingredients for different kinds of meat. Find your signature marinade. Have fun with it.

Marinading will give cheaper cuts of meat great taste and tenderness. You can save some money on your food bill and still eat well. Cheaper cuts of meat do contain less fat and are therefore are healthier for you. You can buy pork blade steak, round beef steak,chicken leg quarters for less than the more expensive cuts.

Here are a few simple recipes to get you started-

Asian Marinade

1/2 cup Terriyaki sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tsp red pepper

Marinade meat overnight in bowl with lid.

Citrus marinade

orange juice
lemon juice
garlic powder
tabasco sauce to taste

Pork marinade

1 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp.soy sauce
1 garlic,chopped
green onion, chopped
1 Tbsp. ginger

Marinade meat overnight in bowl with

Beer marinade

1 onion chopped

1 clove garlic,chopped

1 Tbsp.soy sauce

Find a plastic bowl that will accommodate the amount of meat you have. Make sure it has a has a lid to cover the meat tightly. Whether you use chicken,pork or beef remove the fat from the meat. Puncture the meat with a fork all over. This will let the inside and outside of the meat marinade. Put your meat in the bowl cover the meat halfway with the marinade and cover. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours. The goal is to make it tasty and tender before it is cooked.

A tip-Let your meat set and come back to room temperature before cooking it.

BBQ'ing on a grill gives meat a nice flavor. It is a fast and easy way to seal in juices. An indoor or outdoor grill can be used. Stir frying in a skillet or wok makes for a delightful dish .Baking is another way to cook the meat. Cover meat with tin foil. Add vegetables to the meat for a meal.

Throw away any leftover marinade. It's not safe to use it again.
