The End of Eternity
Like the endless blue,
Of the sky above my head.
My broken mind,
Will not end.
Heartache offers misery,
Misery offers numbness.
While sitting in the shrouds,
Hand extended hopefully.
No one comes for me,
I seek only comfort.
This sorrow,
In the bottom of my broken heart.
Like the blackest blue,
Of an infinite ocean.
There's always a bigger fish,
To douse the flaming jaws of a shark.
Mouth locked in a vise,
People rushing around me.
My sleep is escape,
Awaiting the climbing sun.
My epiphany occurs,
Sparking my movement.
It is better to die on my feet,
Than to live on my knees.
