What is a religious hypocrite ? It is My belief that everyone in this world is a hypocrite, it is a human reaction to things that you live through every day in life. Though some people are bigger hypocrites then others, I think at sometime we all experience being a hypocrite.

As I sit here writing I want to use myself as an example so I am thinking of what makes me a religious hypocrite. But religious or not there is a hypocrite in us all.

For an example, I am a Christian and I try to do all I can to help other in need, But when someone comes along that is selling drugs I shun them and to be completely honest I hope I never see them again. That makes me a hypocrite, because when I talk to other about problems they might have with someone I tell them to pray for their enemies, yet for some reason until I was just thinking about it, it never occurs to me to pray for the drug dealer. I guess because it has touched my life for so long that when I encounter these people I despise them for what they do with out any regard to the effect of the family of the user.

It is my belief that anyone who unjustly judges another is a hypocrite. religiously or not. I am a Christian and I believe the Holy Bible's words are true, and it says " judge not less ye be judged " I don't believe in abortion or homosexuality , but I do not shun anyone because they do, I pray for them. I try to forgive others who do me wrong, if I want God to forgive me when I do wrong.

If I would shun people for there wrong doings then I am being a hypocrite, for how can I lead them to Christ if I shun them from my life. We are to lead people to Christ and to pray for our enemies. I am not perfect, no man or woman on this earth is, we all have our own downfalls and we all sin. If we can not find it in our hearts to forgive then we will not find forgiveness from God.

I believe that a hypocrite is someone who thinks they are better then someone else for what ever reason, but we are all " every color every creed " we are all God's children and if we were not hypocrites then we would realize that we are all the same,

But just for a second let say you don't believe in God . Even if you don't believe in God, if you can look at one person and think for one minute that you are better and your life is more valued then theirs "You are a hypocrite" life is life and just because you don't agree with something makes it not right for you , but not necessarily right to them.

Just like people who smoke but preach to their children not to smoke {I fall under this one too} that is hypocritical. If you have stopped smoking and then try to tell your children not to do it then you are just trying to teach them the dangers of it, but if you still smoke and do it then you are being a hypocrite.

But back to God because I do believe and I pray that all of you do or will in time. God says not to judge others and really if you judge others then you are a hypocrite, Jesus said let the one who has not sinned throw the first stone, since we have all sinned then No stones should ever be thrown.
