Truth is enveloped in a picture we seek.
But often the image is inferior or weak.
It isn't truth that has been compromised.
Nor is it the ideal that was not realized.
It's a condition of our heart and what we may have perceived.
We start out with high hopes, but come away feeling deceived.
We anticipate joy when we open a new and appealing door.
But often our prospects and dreams seem to collapse on the floor.
So we close the door and seek a different direction.
Because we cannot accept that there could be no perfection.
And the journey begins on this endless plight:
Disappointment is a state of mind with no end in sight.
