If you are a man, single, bitter, and looking for advice, perhaps you have come to the right person. The best piece of relationship advice for you if you meet most if not all of the criteria is this: stop being bitter. Life is pretty much too short for someone to be bitter. Bitterness is one of the negative feelings. One should have a positive outlook on things because there is way too much negative energy in the universe. Why give off more negative energy?
The one simple piece of advice is to "stop being bitter." However, simple does not necessarily mean easy. In order to overcome the bitterness, there are steps you need to follow.
Step One: Why Are You Bitter In The First Place?
This is by far the most important step in overcoming being a bitter single man. In order to get over being bitter, you have to admit it. You cannot change if you will not admit it. In the case of bitterness, you have to admit it first before you want to change. It shows that you are willing to accept that you are single and bitter. It shows that you are willing to no longer be bitter.
From there, you have to think about this: What caused you to be a bitter single man? There is always the cause and effect. It is similar to the action and reaction. You being the bitter single man would be the effect and reaction. With that said, you need to find the cause. To be more specific, you need to find the root cause.
What is the root cause? To answer that question, it could be anything. It could be a bad experience. If that is the case, you will have to come to grips with that experience.
It could be a previous relationship or a series of them. Perhaps there is a pattern of women or men you were seeing in the past. If that is the case, perhaps you should find someone that is not like those you dated in the past.
Step Two: Enjoy The Single Life
Being single is not really that bad. There are benefits to being single. They tend to outweigh the benefits of being in a relationship. Logically, if you think about it, there is no real reason to be bitter. You pretty much have more freedom being single than being in a relationship.
If you carefully think about it, the single life tends to be very liberating. You do not have to consult let alone constantly with your significant other. You do not have to worry about getting that person a gift on the various holidays. You spend money on yourself. You can hang out with friends. You can do anything within reason.
Step Three: It Is Not The End Of The World
This is perhaps one of the biggest steps to not being bitter. Just because you are single, it does not mean you have to treat like it is the end of the world. Being single is part of life. We get used to it and move on. If it was the end of the world, none of us would be existing today.
Step Four: There Is More To Life
This is something you have to think about. There is more to life than being in a relationship. If you think getting into a relationship is your first priority, you will be a bitter single man for the rest of your life. At the same time, many will exploit and take advantage of that. You have more important priorities to think about than trying to get into a relationship.
I can recall an ex-friend who made finding a girlfriend his first priority. He put everything else aside insisting that finding a girlfriend is the most important thing. As a result, he has never progressed that much.
Step Five: Don't Try To Find Love
Love will find you. Do not try to find it. Do not try hard to find it. Simply, take it one day at a time. If you try to find love, you will only find disappointment. It will come. Overall, it is a matter of patience.
Overall:
Life is short. Life is TOO short to be a single bitter man. Perhaps you need to find a person that is not like the previous people you have dated. Or, you should get used to being single. The single life is not at all bad. There are many benefits of being single. There is more to life than being in a relationship.
