A Widow's Pain
I wake up alone in the morning,
I see sadness in the mirror,
I drink my coffee alone,
I plan my day, but to what end?
A widow's pain
I face the world alone,
with no more calls from the love of my life.
What happened to my 'date nights?'
The evening is torture!
A widow's pain
I cry in my prison each night,
knowing what tomorrow will bring;
the same heart-wrenching sadness.
Does anyone know what I'm feeling?
Does anyone notice a widow's pain?
Each day is torture beyond words,
and the nights are even harder.
I can hardly breathe - I'm drowning;
I'm so lost and so very alone!
A widow's pain

No one understands her needs
Her cry for
