I lie in waiting wonder,
For the glory that awaits.
When I shall ascend to heaven,
To meet the finisher of my faith.
The road has been a long one,
At times the battles been uphill.
But all my trials are overcome,
For my Savior paid the bill.
But I shall keep on striving,
For the perfection that I seek.
Pure as a newborn snowflake,
That in December falls at my feet.
I know my time is coming,
And I know my dates been set.
So i'll lie in waiting wonder,
Til my Lord calls me to rest.
