-AS DEEP WARM BLUES ARISE-
A somber sky lies upon a dying day
With rosy light and orange tint
As daylight falls but beauty keeps its delay.
The stars appear with a glint
Of sparkles white and shimmers bright.
The lingering sky of polished artistry
Burns a deeper red as if alight
With fire and flame, as sunlight's last fades away.
The shimmers shine brighter still
As deep warm blues arise.
The masterpiece of life quickly fades until
The cover of night is as thick as a dead man's lies.
And now the joyous light is gone, a cloud of solemn black does stay.
Tis now too late hope all the farewells are said and done
And beauteous treasures found and hid away.
Soul remains, while body goes, gone forever like the sun
After the light goes down.

The old man with peppered hair stirs,
His sleep interrupted.
His wrinkled brow beads with cold sweat,
And knotted
