Trust
To those few friends I trust, thank you for these years
as you have never been the reason for any of these tears,
these tears I cry because I thought, I wished I could
trust in others, who I thought were friends, if only they would
have not gotten selfish and turned their backs on me
to benefit only themselves, I could have turned out to be
what people treasure the most, a valued and true friend,
their sister of sorts 'til the very end.
Now they've ruined my trust yet again, and again I know
that true friends are rare, they are hard to find and to hold,
I guess it's my fault for assuming once again
that others are like me, not holding any evil plan,
not wanting anything but to live, love, and laugh, I wish I can
trust in those around me every day, to be able to talk and be free,
and not worry about what comes around that's more important than me.
A trustworthy friend, a friend who cares, shouldn't ever be given up on.
They've shattered my trust, one final chance they had, so now I'm gone.

A tangled web of deception
You wove knowing full well
The pain these lies would cause
When eventually the truth did tell
