Today is the day, the day I learned a tough lesson,
today I learned that everyone is different, without question.
I had finally learned to let go and be free,
But everyone seems like they are against me.
Every time I turn around there are whispers,
my so-called friends are too full of sneers.
I never did anything wrong, so what's the deal,
they are happy, but my smiles they want to steal?
They only want to benefit themselves, that's so selfish!
I find myself empty, and yet so full of anguish.
Why can't I have a normal life where nothing goes wrong?
Why is it that I can't find out where I belong?
Tomorrow is a new day so I will try yet again
to find out who is and who is not going to be my friend.
I may not end up with anyone by my side,
one out of a hundred maybe, I'll never forget this day that I cried,
this day that I learned that not everyone is like me,
because happiness is all I want for them, with or without me.

at least I lived today.
And if I lose myself,
I know I'll find my way.
