For your next summer vacation the place to go is New York City, New York and the surrounding areas that are a short drive within your own mode of transportation or a convenient ride within a bus, ferry, taxicab and/or train away. Yes, your hotel or motel room will be your base of operation, so to speak, for your many excursions for shopping, expanding your knowledge and/or just having one heck of a good time site seeing and eating the best food; cooked by some of the finest chefs that the World has to offer.

Are you a beach lover and do you enjoy an occasional visit to an amusement park? Conney Island is the place to go for a day. Do you like to gamble? A short trip to Atlantic City is the place to go, besides the fact that the World Famous Boardwalk has a whole lot of other things to offer an out door person such as you. Then too, you who also love animals can spend a day within the Bronx Zoo.

For the brainy ones among you several museums are within New York City. The Guggenheim Museum of Art and The Metropolitan Art Museum are just two of those that will enrich your mind. Then again, maybe entertainment is what you most desire.

Broadway is the place to go for a live musical stage play or you might just want to see a movie. No problem or maybe an up-scale opera is more to your liking. The Metropolitan Opera House is the place for you to go for an evening of truly great entertainment. Things do cost money and it might be possible to buy your tickets within the hotel or motel where you will be staying. So to, you can make a reservation to dine in one of the best restaurants on Earth; before you enjoy the opera that you soon will be hearing and seeing.

Then again, Radio City Music Hall does have daily performances for you entertainment pleasure. Least you not forget about the live performances within Carnegie Hall. The World's best entertainers do appear on that truly famous stage.

If sight-seeing is all that you desire or you have nothing better to do for a few hours, who does not want to tour the Statue of Liberty? From the observation deck of the Empire State Building, on a clear day, you can see all the way to Connecticut and those places in between.

Well, that just about covers all of the high points of interest, if that wasn't enough for you. Then again, you can go on a shopping spree and buy some of the products made by the people who live within places that I never heard of. The truth of the matter is that there is so much to see and do that you will need nearly a month in which to see almost everything. Yes, whatever you might desire can be found, if you look hard enough, just within the city limits of the City of New York.
