In business for over 170 years the historical house of Guerlain created their Eau de Cologne Imperiale for Emperor Napoleon III. So impressed by this fragrance, crated by Pierre-Francois-Pascal Guerlain that Napoleon took on the house of Guerlain as his supplier perfumer.

- Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale-

The Eau de Cologne Imperiale comes boxed in classic style beige and black. The bottle and lid is clear glass and to the front it displays the Napoleonic imperial bee and crest which is still featured on the bottle of this classic fragrance. -

The cologne fragrance is light, intimate and subdued. It is cologne which doesn't shout, but instead is only detectable when someone is close to you. It also reacts to body heat and renews in strength when you are active.

Eau de Cologne Impriale has a delicate citrus verbena essence which is fresh and clean with under-notes of bergamot, lavender and rosemary. The cologne has a sour tang when first applied. But this soon settles down to bring out a green quality which gives this blend an interesting layered fragrance.

Being cologne, Eau de Impriale does not have strong lasting power. It will fade quite a bit after about twenty minutes or so.

The historical story adds to the ambiance and it is beautifully bottled. It is a refined and classic fragrance and one which is great for everyday use.
