Poetry: Victory

Untitled

Is triumph something we are all meant to share in? Does destiny hold victory us all? Will everyone, some day, reach the end they had always hoped for?

Even the smallest of us have strong hearts, able to love and to hope and to cherish dreams. Love is not a weakness; it is the greatest strength mankind was ever endowed with, no matter much it hurts.

When a heart is considered, it is not the colour or size or pulse we think of. It is the care for friends, family and lovers. It is the hope that will one day lead us all to a better path. It is the knowledge that, even in our loneliest hour, someone somewhere loves us.

Humanity and altruism go hand in hand, and I am proud to walk this earth through peace or war, wealth or poverty, beginning or end.

We will always strive towards happiness, a quiet but forceful movement of mankind, with the sturdiest foundations of love and hope.

Life is waiting for us to embrace it.

    Even a board game
