Are you "skinny fat"?

You weight under 110 pounds (50 kg) and you're almost 1,70m, your aunt and uncle keep asking you why you didn't become a model, the other more robust girls envy you, when someone asks what you eat to stay in shape you tell them I can eat anything! and you tell them the truth, no matter what you eat, the counter looks the same every day.

You lucky girl!, they say. You smile to them, but only you know that things aren't as pink as they see them. Your skin is dry and doesn't feel soft, you're always pale thank God for the cosmetic blush!, your hair has lost its shine, your nails break and exfoliate, oh no, you've got cellulite! And since you were feeling a bit dizzy and seeing black spots in the morning time, you went to do your blood count. After seeing the result, the doctor isn't very thrilled: your blood sugar is close to the upper limit, your cholesterol level is too high, your organism lacks calcium, oh my god! How come all that? You're still young, aren't those elder-people health problems? Is it because you smoke and you drink a lot of coffee? But how else could you make it through a long working day at the office or at school? Or is it because you ate a whole box of bonbons on Monday evening? Boy, that felt goodyou could barely breathe after eating the last one Hmtwo thousand calories But you were so depressed! You had to do something to cheer yourself up! Or is it maybe because of those extremely spicy chicken wings you eat for dinner three times a week around midnight?

Regardless of our weight, we should follow a healthy diet. We don't have to stuff ourselves with food, just because we're sometimes depressed or bored. We don't have to eat three popcorn bags while watching this great movie on TV. Don't feed your stomach too much, give it only the necessary. Eat moderately and regularly. Serve your last meal no later than 3 hours before you go to bed. Don't lie down after eating, take a half hour walk. Help your body to start the digestion process. Yes, some people have a more accelerated metabolism than others. This is an advantage, but it doesn't mean that you can eat until you explode! Eventually, your stomach will get ill. Think of it this way: you've got a pair of beautiful silk socks and you stuff a melon inside. So much for the beauty and grace

Fast food is tasty, but harmful for our body. If you can't give it up, at least pick one day a week to eat only vegetables or fruit. This is a good way of detoxifying the organism.

A hydrated body means a fresh skin and fewer wrinkles. Drink 2 liters of water a day. You hear this advice everywhere, but you should apply it correctly. Don't drink it all at one time, otherwise you'll drown your kidneys. Have one glass per hour.

Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep. The best period is between 11pm and 7am. It's when your cells are being renewed.

Mens sana in corpore sano, wrote once a Roman poet. Exercising is very important in our lives. Many say I don't have time for that, but it's only a poor excuse. Others say I don't have money to spend at the gym. No need to! Romans didn't have gyms back then! Get a rope, get outdoors and start jumping! Forget the elevator, climb the stairs way up to the last floor of your building! Dance wildly on your favourite song no one's watching! Go running in the park! Each one of these activities takes less than 15 minutes a day!

Try these tips and you'll feel much healthier!
