Bar light love
Staring at your blank cheeks I could think of nothing but dancing through you in the warm rain with my pruned fingers and clear eyes while your fingers wash the makeup lines drawn black on my face and somehow liking that your kisses had a way of bruising my lips purple-blue. The puddles stealing my toes curl my lips as your hands wrapped cautiously around mine pull light through the drops falling between our fingers. Your eyes begin to crinkle while my cheeks grow warm and I can feel your thoughts folding us in the warmest puddle lined with pillows of air, water and you. Taking a sip of your beer you coughed and looking up at your still eyes I realize there isn't a puddle anywhere in this frozen city and reminding myself of the heavy chains you drag dancing in the rain becomes unrealistically girly. You've become impenetrable and sweet glances bounce back from ill reception. Noticing you shiver I sneak a smirk feeling slightly satisfied with winter's revenge. You wearing a look of determined apathy while harshly sucking on your cigarette like you do stirs my gut and I think I might shatter this moment with a pile of throw up between us. Your cruelty is wary and calculated, purposeful attacks taking bites out of the soft spots I've created. Your mocking glances rip peepholes in my chest leaving a residue that tastes of total indifference. Plotting, I wonder if my planted disinterest will spark yours, and while hoping like hell it does, I realize you've been inching closer since I sat down. From the corner of my eye I notice you taking cautious study and a sly smile creeps across my lips as I turn towards the lighter and warm voice complimenting the other side of me.

I'm trying to forget all the memories
I'm trying so hard to move on,
I'm trying to just forget
