A Poets Prayer
Dear God of this one moment in time
please hear this single prayer of mine.
Thank you for this body unruly
It has served me well and truly
Thank you for this hearth and home
It keeps me forever chanting om
Thank you for my one and only lover
He keeps me tuned to rediscover
Thank you for my numbered true friends
They are the motivation behind my pen
Thank you for my love of others
I own each and they are my brothers
Thank you for my mind unkind
For it reminds what to leave behind
Thank you for this path I'm on
It shows me light leading to dawn
Thank you for my sins of the past
They defined a moment and it was a blast
Thank you for my sins now presented
I own each minute I am tormented
Thank you for my feet here planted
Delivering me to be enchanted
Thank you for music kind on my ear
Life through melody brings me cheer
Thank you for my love of creation
In that act I find a true vocation.
And now that I have given thanks,
I only ask that the next line not be blank.
Thank you dear God for this Zen
all that's left is to say amen!

MY PRAYER
O Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider
please give me wisdom to know
all that I possess is because of You.
Without You all
by Rosa Lee
Feel, Mother Earth, the love I have for you
Touch me inside and teach me what to do
I am a child, learning of your ways
Touch
A TAP ON MY SHOULDER
A tap on my shoulder
just what I need.
Someone to remind me
now and then.
Pray often, not
necessarily short
A silent prayer to the Lord,
Is all I have to show,
My devotion, my desire,
And to let him know.
I clasp my hands and bow
You are the words I speak
the thought in my mind
You are the world I grieve
while it's falling behind
You are the hope
