Poetry: Saying goodbye

Love you, leave you...repeatbaby I know you know he's bad for you

You'll be ambiguous as always, I'll lick the change, maybe run you over with the car, anything to break this silence. Loving you has changed me, blunt and impatient, not the slightest bit subtle. Somehow I've woven a science out of over-thinking you. I'd share but helping you is worse than hating you and I waste enough time as it is. You seem to propel me and you don't even know it, amazing how you get your way. Speaking to you is terminal, and here you are, rearranging pallets of me as you go. I always leave looking different than how I arrived. Doubt you'd notice your new design, you don't think much more than 2 feet in front of you and I'm barely in that bubble these days. Somehow you squeeze my pieces together, manipulating the ones that don't really fit, your skill speaks of experience. The idea of you is two handfulls of barbedwire, your silhouette alone frustrating the roots of my hair, but here I am standing to the side, craving you. Your eyes breathe cool air and I'd say it was unfair but I stay to see what happens next. My visit to your saga has been rudely exhausting, my ears burn but you don't seem to mind. I feel myself staring, bathing you with contempt and noticing the way your fingers imply harsh intentions; reminding me of the cut on my leg that's started bleeding again. Your face is the only part that changes. There you go again pouty lips, wet with strawberry gloss residue, sticky and sweet, entirely untouchable, baby girl poison heart. Love you leave yourepeat
