We found a paradise sublime
A quiet place to finish out our time.
A small lagoon where the fish jump about
and now and then, I might even catch a trout.
Sunshine days, flowers, and trees
the quiet accented by the buzzing bees.
Star studded nights as I can lie in bed
With happy thoughts in my head.
When all of a sudden
I am awoke by a crash.
Again, the coons
Are in the trash.

the smoke without the fire
the risk without the fear of getting caught
the lonely soldier
