Christians can take a stand for God by obeying His word and not being ashamed to speak what we believe. In our society today, no one seems to be standing for anything. The world is so tolerant now. Anything goes. If you speak against something, then you become the bad one. So, everyone goes into a shell or acts like they are blind, even Christians walk around, with their eyes close, scared to offend anyone. Just the fact that we are Christians, believers in Jesus Christ, means that we are different. We are children of our heavenly Father and disciples of Jesus Christ.

If we believe the Bible is the word of God, then we should not be ashamed to do what it says. I have heard the saying, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything." Christians can take a stand by letting the Bible be our guide. The Bible tells us who we are now that we are born again. It also tells us how to live now that we are born again. The Bible is our information book for living the new life in Christ. No other book or information source can enlighten us. How can we stand for something that we don't know? Once we know better, then we should do better.

When we know what God says, then we can line our lives with His word. We are faced with situations everyday in which we must make decisions. Sometimes it 's hard to make the right choices. But when we decide to stand for God, in His word are the answers that we need. The choice to obey God or not, is always ours to make. God didn't make us little robots. He made us with a will and with that will, we get to make right or wrong choices. Christians always make the right choices by choosing to obey the word of God.

The choice to obey God may not be popular. It may cause separation and persecution, but who do we want to please, man or God.Here are some examples of how Christians can take a stand for God.

1. When choosing a mate for marriage, not being unequally yoked to an unbeliever. Marrying someone who is born again and loves God. Not just because they go to church, but you can see their love for God in all they do and say.

2. Having a marriage that is according the the Bible and not according to how we've seen marriages in our family. Don't listen to our friends and co-workers ungodly advice.

3. Raise our children according to the Bible. God has a plan for our families, not the government, schools, or other people's opinions.

4. When issues come up on our jobs, in our community, or church, stand for what the Bible says. It doesn't matter who we go against. If they don't say or believe what the Bible says, stand against them.

5. When no one is watching or hearing us, we still choose to do the right thing.

God is looking for someone to stand up and say, I believe God and I will live my life according to the Bible, His word.
