Without you
I feel that I would not be able to breathe.
Without you
No words could ever be expressed for the gloom.
Without you
The nights would be so lonely and blue.
Without you
There would be no tomorrows and dreams to come true.
For without you
I would wither away like a flower in the winter snow or morning dew.

Poetry: If you were gone
You Without Me
Oh what can it be
When I see you without me
The uneasiness of it all
And wrestling with my heart
Of being alone
We only met two years ago
But you are a constant in my life
The one thing that keeps me steady
When everything else is full
If you were gone
My life would be so much simpler
No calling to check on you
No going to pick up your mail
No going to pick
While I am here with you,
Close to my heart you will stay.
Never did I imagine
A love so fine.
With you,
My heart sings.
Because
by Helen Stuart
If you were gone
I'd have no reason to listen
For pick-up motors roaring
Into the driveway.
No smell of cigars
On your flannel
