It is difficult to be a good mother. There are many ups and downs that go along with it. Sometimes it pays to take a humorous look at it. Though some things aren't funny while it is happening, looking back on them can provide hours of entertainment.

Here is a humorous look at how to be a good mother:

Give It All Up

In order to be a good mother, you have to be willing to give it all up. Your time is no longer your own. Neither is anything else. Those underwear that you need, forget it, the kids need something and it is up to you to make sure she gets that new Barbie.

Become Bi-Lingual

It is impossible to be a good mother if you don't know how to speak at least four other languages. The first language you will need to learn is Babygibberish. This is the easiest to pick up on because it is based more on your babies cries and coos. The baby tells you what he wants and you provide it. The second language that you need is toddlerish. This requires a great deal of listening and pointing. It's really a guessing game but you have to play in order to be a good mother.

Next is teenise. This is the most difficult to master. Your teenagers will speak it fluently and in order to understand it, you will have to get into the child's head. The biggest problem is that the children don't want you there. If you are a good mother, you will learn this language no matter how hard your teen tries to keep you in the dark.

You do get lucky at some point and your child will finally begin to talk in their native language. You will now be able to communicate with them on an adult level. They will now be adults and you have proven yourself to be a good mother.

Must Be Flexible

Your body and your schedule will have to be flexible in order to be a good mother. You will bend in ways you never thought possible to catch your child before she breaks her head open. As your child ages, you will have to be able to work a full time job, get the kids off to school, make sure they get to all of the activities and have dinner on the table in a short twenty four hour period. All good mothers learn how to do this with ease.

This is a tribute to all the good mothers that exist out there. Mom's do amazing things for their children and often receive less than proper thanks. If you are a good mother, you probably already know where these thoughts come from. Keep up the great work and don't forget, they do grow up.
