Remembering the days when I sang
Brings tears of nostalgia to my heart.
The separation between this moment
And the time that died in the arms of time
Is an abyss that pulls me into itself,
A canyon of darkness that in whispers tells me
That even memories will cease to be
And that all I will ever see
Is the sky getting farther away from me,
For I, and my love along with me, will forever fall
Into the abyss of what exists no more,
What has swallowed time and my long gone love.
I remember being surrounded by clouds of light,
By a glory that removed time from the scenario,
While fully immersing me in every aspect of it,
Freezing the state of my heart,
Making me believe it would last forever.
Long gone are those days now,
Gone the time when your presence was my essence,
An essence that has faded into the emptiness of missing,
An emptiness that knows nothing but your absence.
Now I roam the streets as if I were dreaming,
A somnambulist surrounded by nightmarish creatures,
By those who know not
What it is to be a ghost whose heart still pumps.
As a numb ghost, I still manage to feel sometimes though,
And as I wander I make sure each tear knows
That from my eyes it is free to forever fall.
Each tear comes with many others,
Flowing into my heart in attempt to drown its sorrow.
But my heart dies not, for it lives of these tears,
Tears that are mine, yours, and of eternity,
Tears that, like my love, will be swallowed by this abyss.

I Dream of Africa
Some time ago I left my home,
far away in the African sun.
I boarded a plane for a foreign land,
my new life
The best of times are in the past
When first was good and sure to last
When we were young and passions free
When love was

Times of the past
We want to walk again
The hats of the young
Take a bow
Walking past adults
The windows
The doors
Remain
