Cocaine, heroin, crack cocaine, alcohol, speed, marijuana, what's your drug of choice? For a drug user dependent on a certain drug it is a hellish nightmare until he gets that drug into his body.
A day in the life of a drug user goes this way: crawling out of bed with a headache, shaky stomach, cramping sides, aching body, and a runny nose Next , going to the bathroom and throwing up because he needs another hit of the drug he craves. Not a pretty sight then is it, when someone gets out of bed, hair askew, thin body racked by a fever for the next hungry high, entire body shaking, and then throwing up because his body needs that next fix of alcohol, cocaine, or ecstasy?
The day in the life of a drug abuser is not an easy one. After shaking, experiencing a runny nose, and possibly throwing up, the drug abuser will then be searching for his drug of choice. He will be crabby, and possibly upset until he gets what he needs, his drugs. Perhaps he will have his morning cup of coffee with a shot of liquor in it to soothe those frayed nerves.
Once he gets his first fix of the day , he will stop shaking, and quaking and his stomach will feel better due to the drug entering his body and giving him that necessary ingredient of daily life. He will start feeling better, because his drug dependent body will now have what it needs, the chemical it craves. He will feel happier, possibly high, more laid back or his adrenaline may kick in. It depends on the drug he is addicted to. Cocaine, speed and methamphetamine will cause a person to be excited, more alert, and his heart will race.
A drug abuser will spend his day trying to get the next high, the next fix, or the next sip of alcohol. What may have seemed like a fun way to live life at first, is difficult to keep a normal everyday career, when a drug abuser needs to get a drug into his veins. He will walk away from work, family and friends to get his next drug fix. The drug takes over his life. Many drug abusers will do anything, even selling their bodies to get another hit of their favorite drug.
A drug addict at work may take frequent breaks many times to use his drug or have another drink. If he is lucky enough to have a job, otherwise he will be selling his body or household items to get the next fix. He may spend his entire day trying to get in touch with his drug supplier in order to get his drug of choice.
The day in the life a drug abuser is not a pretty sight. It s a difficult day, every day, because the most important thing for a drug abuser is to get high,or stoned because he is dependent on a drug that has become his sole purpose for living.
