Mother's Day is that day when we all celebrate the women who have raised us, cared for us and loved us through thick and thin. It was mom who bandaged up or scraped knee's, it was mom who soothed us when our hearts were broken and it was mom who sat beside us and held our hand when the news was bad and we were scared. Mom, my hero!

Celebrations for our mother's can come in many forms, from breakfast in bed to a dinner out on the town. Mom isn't always looking for that pie in the sky ending to her special day, it might just be a walk in the park she desires. Here are a few suggestions for a Mother's Day Brunch that's out of this world!

Picking Your Brunch Theme

The perfect Mother's Day Brunch has to be simple and easy. This is mom's day, she doesn't want to be slaving in the kitchen and neither do you. Picking a theme, is just a way to see the direction you want to go with your plans. Maybe you want to have a Mother's Day Tea Party, or perhaps a Picnic in the Park theme. It could be a Mother's Day Movie Marathon or a Scrapbooking Bonanza! It's important to pick something mom enjoys and go with that.

Mother's Day Tea Party

Your Mother's Day Tea Party doesn't have to be tea at all. It could be that special coffee blend that your mom loves so much or even a soda if that's her favorite. Whatever beverage you choose the menu needs to suit the drink. If it's tea, perhaps scones or croissants and cookies. A quick salad or toast with jam. You could use the best china and the silver. The special linens and a vase of mom's favorite flowers to decorate with.

Picnic in the Park

Take mom's favorite outdoor blanket and the picnic basket. Fill that basket with a bottle of wine and some goodies from the local Italian market or the Italian section in the supermarket. Wine, cheese and some Italian meats. Bring along mom's favorite book or some of her favorite music to listen to as you relax and enjoy a beautiful day together.

Mother's Day Movie Marathon

Most mother's enjoy a good romance or chick flick as much as the rest of us. Pick some of mom's favorite movies, a case of soda and some paper plates. Order pizza out or make it homemade. What's movie night without popcorn? Make it a girls night in and enjoy spending time just laughing or crying over a good movie.

Scrapbook Bonanza

Scrapbooking has become a phenomenon in itself. Mom's all over the country are learning to crop and clip and design beautiful scrapbook pages that keep their memories vibrant for years. If your mom is an avid scrapbooker than a scrapbook party might be just the perfect theme. So get those scissors ready and make mom the perfect scrapbook page to commemorate your day!

There are many ways to create the perfect Mother's Day Brunch. You just have to know what your mom love's, what she enjoys doing, how she would spend a leisurely day that's all about her. Pamper her with her favorite foods and her favorite things and she will know that you, care enough to know what she likes and that's all the gift she may need.
