Camping etiquette: How to be a good camper

Camping should be a fun experience, one that can be shared with the whole family. It is very easy to be a good camper, to have fun, while at the same time, not ruin someone else's fun.

Part of the problem is alcohol, when you add alcohol, then you have rudeness. The drunks don't mean to be rude, they just don't realize that they start yelling instead of talking. They also don't care if they are becoming too loud and annoying, they are having fun and that's all that matters to them.

Music, add some music, and you can have a big problem. Some people do not understand, that everyone does not like the same type of music! So why does your stereo have to be so loud that the entire campground can hear it?

Then there are the people, who do not know what a trash can is, and leave their trash to blow all over the campground. Let's try to be a little neater, can we? After cleaning up for your own family, you really don't feel like cleaning up for everyone else.

Don't be a moocher, how annoying is the camper, that goes around bumming cigarettes? Get in your car and drive to the store, leave others alone, to enjoy their good time.

Watch your kids, we all love kids, but lets face it, we do not want to babysit your kids. Camping is for fun and relaxation, sorry but it is hard to relax with someone's kids running about your campsite.

If you see yourself as any one of these rude people, please try to change your camping ways, and be a good camper. Don't be a selfish, ignorant oaf, who only thinks of his good time, and in the process ruins everyone's camping enjoyment.

If someone is being loud and annoying, the best thing to do is, ignore them. That is also part of being a good camper, trying to confront them will only cause more of a problem.

The rules for being a good camper, are don't be loud and rude. Simple, but a lot of people do not understand politeness, and mind your own business. Just because a person is camping, that doesn't mean, that they want to get to know you and your whole family, it means they would like to spend some quality time with their family.

Go out this summer, camp and have a good time with your family. Do not let anyone ruin your camping experience. Please try to be a good camper, be polite and quiet. Keep your children under control, and your drinking. Clean up after yourself and your family. Remember everyone is there, at the campground for the same goal, the same purpose, relax and have fun.
