Planning a wedding is not just about the big day itself, but also about smaller events that will take place along the way. The men will no doubt be planning a stag party for the night before the wedding, but what about the girls? Gone are the traditional boring parties for your girls and now, the sky is the limit to say thank you to your bridesmaids. So how can you plan a fun party for your girls and make it unique? It will just take a bit of imagination and you'll have a party that everyone will be talking about for a long time.
#1. A spa weekend. You don't have to limit yourself to one single evening now for a bridesmaids party. Plan a whole weekend away at a special spa with the girls. You can have group events such as manicures and pedicures and massages for everyone, or just book the spa and let everyone choose what they want to try. You can even do this for a single day out and it won't be as expensive. Your girls will be beautiful and relaxed and you'll have a little relaxation time as well.
#2. A weekend away! If your friends like to gamble, more and more brides are taking their bridesmaids to Vegas for a fun weekend of food, shows and gambling. Who says it has to be the guys who have all the fun? Your girls will enjoy the change of scenery and you'll have lots of fun memories and pictures to take home with you. If they are willing to pay for their own flights, you can book a large room and everyone can stay together like a big slumber party.
#3. A special brunch or lunch. Have a champagne brunch at a fancy local restaurant. Everyone will love to get dressed up and share in some good food and conversation a few days before the wedding. It will get everyone in the spirit of the wedding and you'll also be able to bring along any little flower girls or junior bridesmaids. This is also a nice way to unite the families by having both mothers attend.
#4. A psychic party at your house. Invite a psychic to come to your home to do private readings for all the girls. You might want to also have someone come in to do nails or facials at individual stations so that everyone will be busy during the individual readings. Everyone finds this type of thing fun, and she can do predictions for the bride as well that everyone can take part in like who will catch the bouquet or when she will have her first child.
#5. Thank all of your bridesmaids by taking them to a show or concert. Everyone loves a great show and often, you can get group tickets to special events. Plan a whole evening by starting with a nice dinner and then move on to the theater after. You can even end the evening by going out for drinks, but your girls will have had a full night even without.
So, if you are planning a bridal thank you party for your bridesmaids, try to think outside the box and aim for something that will include everyone and make you all relaxed and prepared for the wedding. You'll be happy that you did!
