Poetry: Intimate

by Tamu Browne

Created on: May 19, 2009

Oh so pretty hearts and flowers too,

It's green, it's pink, it's yellow and it's blue,

Oh such glee to don her on my budding frame,

Among my classmates it gives me lots of fame.

Lacy, silky, racer, push up too,

A drawer full of seduction for me to woo,

I know my true love I am sure to find,

Once he unclasps this garment of mine.

Wide straps, in cotton and oh so plain,

I pull I tug, adjusting almost in vain,

Helping to defy gravity and deny age,

My faithful friend of decades wise as a sage.

She's seen it all, husbands, children, men,

I unclasp, they unclasp over three score and ten,

Come and gone, my heart they did not mend,

But you will be my bracing friend to the end.
