It's not the magical fairy tale ending that I imagined.
I am not famous.
I am not rich.
I am in love,
but it is not perfect.
As a child, I eagerly anticipated
the adult life that awaited me.
As an adult,
I mourn my expired childhood.
I live in my memories of my imagined future,
The way I expected life to be.
I live in my memories of the past,
And I try to accept the present that I didn't expect.
