Delicious and Healthful Smoothie Recipes
The hustle and bustle of daily life can wear us down, and a quick, nutrient-dense snack can sometimes be just the ticket to keep us going throughout the day! Smoothies are a fast, easy and nutritional way to begin your day or they make great between meal snacks or post workout supplements! The following smoothie recipes offer a great balance of protein and carbohydrates to keep your engine running efficiently all day long. Bananas are used as a base for all recipes, as they are an excellent source of potassium, dietary fiber and Vitamin B6; and soy milk is a rich source of isoflavones, which aid in the prevention of many cancers, heart disease, and osteoporosis. These smoothies are very healthy, but most importantly extremely tasty!
