grew rich and unsuspecting real estate investors turned into property managers out of necessity.
Nevertheless, most home buyers, home sellers and real estate investors need the services of real estate agents in order to plow through the rocky field of home buying and selling. Every home sale is unique and real estate agents, at least those with integrity, are trained professionals that can smooth out the bumps in the home buying process. Furthermore, realtors provide crucial support and advice when it comes to negotiating the sale, finding solutions to financing problems, coordinating home inspections and providing market information to both buyers and sellers.
Contractually, real estate agents represent the interests of the seller, but are always glad to work on behalf of both the seller and the buyer to close the deal. After all, they are motivated by the sales commission and the more homes they can sell, whether in San Antonio or Virginia Beach the better. A For Sale by Owner, or FSBO, home seller that takes the time to become educated in the legal and administrative process of selling a home can forgo paying the commission, although there can be a significant a trade-off in terms of long-term value, time and money. Most home sellers forgo making this trade-off by simply tacking the cost of the real estate agent's commission on to the selling price of the house.
Regardless of location, San Antonio or Virginia Beach, real estate agents are worth the money for most home buyers and sellers due to the professional services they provide. However, not all real estate agents are created equal, and the both the home buyer and home seller should be careful to screen and qualify the person that is going to represent their legal and financial interests before beginnning their property search. An honest and hardworking real estate agent that is committed to working on your behalf will be well worth the price of the commission when the sale is closed.
