Training your dog is essential and a must. But there is other ways to do it besides electric collars. You can enroll your dog in pets mart training, you could hire a dog trainer of you do something else. Just don't you the shock collar they are cruel.

Using shock collars are cruel because it shocks the dog. Now I completely agree with wanting your dog trained but not in a cruel way. I am really offended by people who agree with the collar. I think that using the collars makes the dogs mean. People use them for training for fighting and for just being cruel. Now like I said before I completely agree with training your dog but there is other ways for instance you can use a treat, use the clicker, or have a trainer train them.

My dad and I have always bumped head because he uses the shock collars to train the dogs and my pit-bull turned mean. I am really and extremely against it. That is like taking away your dogs freedom. I know you would not like your freedom taken away so think of it like that. your dog should be treated like you would want to be treated.

Shock collars can also be harmful because it can be very traumatic to the dog after it gets shocked for the first time and it can stop the heart. The dogs can also turn aggressive towards its humans. It may sometimes even cause death. Personally I think that they should be banned. There have been many adults and children who have use the shock collars to get their dogs ready to fight. There have been many tests that have proved the death from shock collars. There are hundreds of dogs getting scared or hurt or even dying because of the shock collars and that is horrible. I don't see how people can hurt their dogs. There are many different ways that you can train them. your dogs should be treated like your children. and not like some inhumane animal your dog is your side kick. so no it is not an effective way of training you dog. It is very very cruel and inhumane. it is not right to do that to a dog it is actually very mean.

So please dont usse them please we dont need anymore animal cruelty in the United States of America
