Sex And The City
Entering the minds of woman in the big screen, our favourite combination of laughter, shopping, sex, love, a little bit more sex, lots of drama, and some Manhattan dining, all while our fabulous superstars Sarah Jessica Parker( Carrie Bradshaw), Kim Cattral(Samantha Jones), Kristin Davis(Charlotte York) and Cynthia Nixon( Miranda Hobbes) are diabolically stunning. But we can't forget the charming and old fashioned Chris Noth (Mr. Big) and the childish David Eigenberg( Steve Brady). We see Samantha's young waiter "friend" Smith Jerrod( Jason Lewis) again as well as Carries' best gay friend Stanford Blatch(Willie Garson) and our favourite bald character and Charlottes husband, Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler).
The movie begins with Carrie and Mr. Big decide after seasons and seasons of episodes of dating, deciding to get married. "The bride wore a dress by no one", quoted by Anthony Marantino, the wedding planner after seeing Carrie's vintage wedding dress, I found that quite the memorable line. The idea for this movie is pure genius, Carrie, a forty year old singlette getting married and all the attention on her. "Young lady, you need to buy glasses" says Charming Big, Carrie wittingly replies "No, I don't I got yours"- a major AWW and a smile. Miranda's sexual tension with Steve is always depressingly amusing. Samantha spree of male nymphomania-ism always brings giggly smiles on her fans and she manages to pull this off, right into the movie, especially when she becomes a voyeur watching her neighbour's pornographic sex. Miranda the same old toughie and Mr. Big still seems to be the super sweet jolly giant. Does marriage ruin everything, Miranda? And then the dramatic wimp out of a man married twice before and then gets beaten up by the wedding flowers. For the second part of this dramatic play on screen, we enter the great land of Mexico, the resort side. Mexicoma. Haha good one Carrie. I love this lovely group of four's philosophy on men, or on anything, they are so right about anything: The good men screw you and the bad ones too. Wow, so true- plus Charlotte gets too brown wet her pantaloons. I didn't know that New York was the city one goes to find love, i thought it was more of a place to see a Broadway play and buy Louis Vuitton knock off or stolen purses. Old Ukrainia, I love this movie, it is a ball of wittiness, it's a shame guys would never watch this movie unless their girlfriends forced them too. Louise, Carries assistant from Louisiana is amazing, if there were more people like her, the world would be a happier more organized place. After the first hour and a half, Sex and the City became Silent Tears in the City of the Broken hearted, but I kept watching, hoping the dopamine levels will kick in. And why does Steve have such a depressing faceL. The music in this amazing drama is quite catchy; I must immediately download the soundtrack. Valentine's day on steroids, that's so true! Why would Samantha cover herself in sushi...American Beauty with a stinky twist? I finally smiled slightly when poor Steve and Miranda get back together. The naked Dante character...put some clothes on. I was happy and then Samantha cancelled Mr. Perfect. Charlotte shat her pants and broke her water in one movie, what will happen in the sequel I wonder... OHH NO LOVE IS THE SECRET PASSWORD...
And the big man strikes again, you gotta love Big. The end for now.
Moral of the movie- Don't have big weddings, and drug the groom and chain him to the alter.
For all the men out there who want to broaden their views
