Computer is not a simple television. Every person may not be using the computer. Ordinary person may misunderstand the display portion as computer. Actually the display part is monitor and the keyboard acts as input device. So the main part is in cabinet which includes Central Processing Unit (CPU) installed or plugged in motherboard panel. Like our volatile and non-volatile memories, Random Access Memory (RAM) and Hard Disk memorize and process different activities. To support the display and sound features, there are add-on cards having adapters which are activated by software known as drivers. Computer is also equipped with Compact Disk (CD) or DVD ROM and Floppy drive for input types. These are technical configurations which are measured in terms of bytes, bytes per seconds. With the advent of new games, bulky softwares and huge data, now megabytes, gigabytes or even terabytes are not enough.

Inputs and outputs are given to the operating system which host 16-bit or 32-bit environment. According to the operating environment, software packages and different vendor's utilities are supported. Depending on the configuration, the computer works slower or faster. Different computer like Dell, HCL, Acer, Apple, Sony etc. are in the electronic market. Quality, brand name, and hardware configurations decide each computer's price and warranty period. Along with Microsoft Windows, there are other operating systems like Linux, Unix etc. Each platform has its own features.

Initially computer came with simple operations of data manipulation and processing. As the time passed, text based menus came along with Disk Operating System (DOS). User needs gradually changed and Bill Gates also started thinking in that direction. He came with new innovations in Microsoft Corporations. With new enhancement in industrial electronics, computer is now affordable to common people also. Computer with internet connection gives online feel of a world in which, if user enters one time, can't resist and live without it. Computer is an ocean of huge knowledge center which has no boundaries and difficult to fathom its depth.

Computer has given so much that people can do a lot from home. Many don't go to office because of remote connection. They work from their home and enjoy proximity of their beloveds also. Computer is now the backbone of commercial industry. You will find its impact at each level in almost every domain including banking, finance, insurance, automobile, pharmacy, hospitals,
