Journalists can effectively use Twitter as a means of getting their stories out to the masses and making a name for themselves rather quickly. Twitter allows for quick blurbs to be written, which, if done properly, can adequately intrigue many people into seeking out the rest of the story. With print media suffering a decline in this technological era, Twitter is seen as a saving grace for many journalists.

Twitter is rapidly becoming the new face of journalism. Many prominent news stories, such as those featured on CNN, are coming complete with Twitter capabilities. This has an impact on journalists, and they are figuring out effective ways to use Twitter to their advantage.

Many journalists are engaging in the Twitter trend, and they are establishing a name for themselves rather quickly. This facet of Twitter enables journalists to become effective in terms of their audience exposure. Many people are increasingly becoming dependent on the Internet for their news items, and Twitter is innovative, and the front-runner currently.

Twitter is becoming increasingly popular within the realm of journalism. Twitter offers journalists many effective methods of writing articles or news stories. Twitter has made it easy for journalists to compile data, gather information, do research, post breaking news stories, and promote themselves to a vast audience.

Social networking sites are becoming commonplace in the field of journalism, and they are offering a wide audience base in a short amount of time. In the past, a journalist had to earn every ounce of reader loyalty, and had to claw his or her way to the top of the ranks. Now, a journalist can use social networking sites, such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Reddit, amongst a host of others to gain readership the easy way.

A forum such as Twitter allows journalists to do research in a quick and effective manner. Research that used to be painstakingly exhaustive has now become simplified with the click of a button or two. With its usage estimated at over five million, and growing ridiculously quick, a journalist now has access to many 'tweets' about current events. Tweets, as they are called, are little blogs, and are posted in real time. With so many people tweeting, especially during a major news story, a journalist can scan quickly to find the most recent updates and tweets from users in order to compile data and gather research.
