Go to the beach and let the sea breezes, the tide, and the abundant ocean life immerse you in the serenity of nature. Sitting on the beach and watching the tide come in and go out is a comforting, relaxing experience that makes us ready to receive the profound gift of oneness with nature.
Watching the shorebirds, spotting a special shell, a house for a sea animal, or having your breath swept away by sighting a dolphin are all experiences in nature that nurture us and make us feel alive in this exciting habitat, the beach. The complexity of the ocean, so calming and and peaceful, yet capable of raging storms mirrors our ranges of mood and levels of personal strength.

Sitting at the water's edge-
Sitting in one of those low-to-the- sand beach chairs is a wonderful way to feel a oneness with the water, sand, and sky. Dig your feet into the sand, feeling the weight and the change in temperature of the water. As the tide comes in, focus on that leading edge of the water as it rolls in. Still with your feet wedged in the sand, feel the draw or suction of the tide as the water retreats. A wonderful mind activity is to imagine, as the water pulls back in retreat, imagine the water taking all your cares from you. Watch, still in the
