Fasting for many religions are a part of normal life. They are raised with this to symbolise their faith, but for the rest of the world it is not a point you want to deal with. Fasting may be a quick fix for some weight loss, but in the end it is doing more bad then good. Especially for people with medical conditions. When you are on medication and most of them have the side effect of weight gain, fasting will cause more problems. Medications like Cymbalta,Ranitidine,Premarin,Seroquel,Clonazepam,Hyd roxyzine,Furosemide,Pyridoxine,Isoniazid,Diclofenac Sodium,Humira and Sulfasalazine all are weight gainers. When it is in that mode then your body holds on to fat much tighter and you will gain weight.
The more you fast the harder it is to lose the weight you gain, plus a large percent of it is water retention and then you will be prescribed Furosemide to help release it. If you are fasting then the medication will have nothing to flush out. You must keep up with the meals and plenty of water.
