Feeling low? There are plenty of ways to lift your spirits and transform you back into your cheery-self again!
1. Music when you're feeling low there's no better remedy than putting on your headphones, turning the volume up loud and listening to all your favorite songs. You can get lost in the music, and watch whatever is nagging you dissipate, belt out the words along with the artist, or dancing around your room. Listening to music is almost an automatic way to get yourself feeling better.
2. Exercise as Elle Woods famously said in Legally Blonde exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy, so if you're not feeling up to par get on the treadmill, go for a walk or jog, whatever your exercise of choice is, and you'll be feeling happier in no time.
3. Friends one of the best remedies to almost any problem is going out with a group of friends. Friends are wonderful resources if you need someone to talk to or if you just need a night on the town.
4. Journal you could write down your problems, your blessings or both. See, writing down what's wrong is a way to physically get whatever is bothering you out of your system, plus when you look at it on paper, it doesn't seem as scary anymore. However writing down all the things that you are thankful for in your life helps you to keep everything in perspective and focus on what's truly important.
5. Clean who wants to do housework when they're down and out? But cleaning all the clutter around you away helps to get all of the emotional clutter out of the way as well. Cleaning a room that has been bugging you will give you immediate satisfaction, plus it'll help keep you busy, at least for a little while.
6. Make a Spa at Home take time for you. Do your nails, give yourself a facial, or just sit in a bubble bath whatever you choose. The point is to do something that will not only make you feel better about yourself but will rejuvenate you physically.
7. See a Movie one of the magical things about movies is that there is something to match any kind of mood you're in. Angry? An action movie, filled with crashing cars and big-budget fight scenes will help release your frustration. Want to cry? There are more than enough romance epics out there to get the tears flowing out of you. Want to laugh? Pick a comedy that will have you literally 'lol'-ing. It's amazing what a day at the movies can do for your soul.
8. Get Out just go outside and breathe fresh air. Take in the sights and the sounds of the world. Go for a stroll around your neighborhood or a nearby park and just look around. The world is a beautiful place, and so much bigger than us. Being outside, especially on a spring day, is instantly relaxing.
9. Breathe whether it is yoga or meditation, there are plenty of easy techniques that you can learn, and taking sometime every day, or on a particularly bad day, will refresh you physically and mentally.
10. Laugh one of the greatest gifts we have is the one of laughter. In every situation, no matter for overwhelming it may seem there is something to laugh about. There is nothing like a good laugh to make a person feel better on the inside and out.
