Currently plus size women buy clothing based on a size two model wearing clothes that are supposed to make bigger women look smaller. How can plus size women know if clothing will flatter their figures when a model with out curves is wearing it. Everything looks good when you're a small sized model without a figure. That's why plus size women are hesitant to buy clothing from fashion designers. How do they know the clothes will look appealing?

Fashion designers tremble in terror at the thought of a plus sized model wearing their designs. Society has decided thin is in and curves are unattractive. Fashion designers want their clothing to look good and sale. They feel only small models are beautiful and that's the image they want to portray for their clothing. Fashion designers don't want big flabby models in their clothing damaging their image and reputation.

Women who are curvy or robust want to see how the clothing will look on them. Will the clothing flatter their round body and over-sized bosom? If fashion designers are going to make plus size clothing they should market the clothes to plus size women.

Women size 12 and over are considered plus size. I know plenty of people that are size 12 or 14 even size 16 that don't have rolls or fat on them. You don't see their rolls and cellulite isn't a problem for them. Although in the fashion industry these women are plus size (nicely put but meaning fat), they are beautiful people and could easily model clothing for women with curves and not ruin a fashion designers image and reputation.

How hard is it for fashion designers to see most plus size women that purchase plus size clothing won't purchase the clothing unless they see it accurately displayed? Plus size women barely notice what skinny little models are wearing. The clothing skinny models wear won't fit them nor look as good on them.

If fashion designers want to sale their clothing quickly they would have a plus size model modeling their designs. Women know what they want when they can see the idea. I think fashion designers would actually sale more clothing if they had plus size models.

The plus size models would give regular women, the everyday woman looking to add flair to her wardrobe an extra reason to purchase the fashion designers clothing. Not only do the clothes look nice but the fashion designer gets it, there are people that aren't a size 2 who would like to know what the clothes would look like on them without trying them on. More women would spontaneously purchase the fashion designer's outfits just because they were displayed appropriately.
