Anxiety can appear inside yourself with the click of the fingers, although it would have almost always in most cases had been there in the background somewhere waiting for it to be triggered! Most anxiety is thought to result from a past experience or a real fear from something in which we built all by ourselves.
When we are born we are not born with any fears or worries, as we grow up the things we learn to question or worry about are justified.
Someone with anxiety will over worry and over question-sometimes some of the simplist things!
I have anxiety and had tried many things to help control this, anxiety does not disappear as quickly as it arrives unfortunatly and must be understood and controlled in order for it not to play a daily part in your life! I tried hypnotherapists none of them i felt helped me in any way, to me i hoped as effective as they help people give up smoking they would help me stop feeling the way i do. I also tried anti-depressents as often with anxiety (not always) it is linked to depression, i started taking them but again felt no difference and decided it was something i wanted to learn to live with without the help of medicaton!
It wasn't until 2years later i decided to give counselling a try. I was asked if i was ready t meet them half way, if i was ready to help myself- my answer was YES!
I was counselled with CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) i was assigned to 12 sessions and can honestly tell anyone who feels they would like to get a handle on this feeling that it changed my life. I wondered whether talking to someone would help, its just words but and i dont know how i was the one in control, it was no longer the other way around!
I would recommend counselling ubove all other treatments, the work they do is amazing and gave me a positive outlook on what i am going through!
I've never felt better and positive about the future, i still have the feeling of anxiety but now i can live with it.
I hope the person reading this good luck and i hope if they chose that path they get as much out of it as i did!
All the best!
