How could I be far-sighted, asked I?
In shock and quite distain!
I've been near-sighted, let me see,
How many years since sixteen?
I need bifocals, are you sure, Doc?
How can this be?
It's a life-time event,
surely someone could prevent.
Age is the culprit,
Oh, surely not.
Seems like just yesterday,
I turned seventeen.
