A reckoning question to say the least, because people are as they think. As a man thinks, so he is and eventually changes into that person. Our thoughts become actions when we think about something long enough, whether they are good thoughts or bad ones. For example, if I were to dwell over past hurts, I would become a very bitter, unforgiving and resentful person and each time I rehearsed the incidents the deeper it goes, until it becomes not just a memory, but part of me and my character. Because of this very thinking process, it also affects my health as well. Does this make me bad, if I do not know any better?
I voted yes, because I like to believe that most people have this desire to be good, in spite of the struggles in their minds and are willing to be helped when they realize the addicting behavior of their habitual thinking patterns. Everyone has them and this is what makes us who we are, what we become tomorrow, and then what we do on our journey.
Would most people stop at the side of the road if your car broke down to help you? As they whiz by, you start to wonder where are all the Good Samaritans? I do not necessarily believe that they are being unkind; as some are in a hurry, some will call on their cell phone for you and others are fearful to stop. This doesn't mean they are rude, just fearful. We are as we think. If you think something fearful is going to happen to you, your faith will not let you down. Sooner or later usually a trucker will pull over and give you a hand.
If you think you are evil, then you have to examine your thinking; maybe you are; this could be your conscience talking to you. Are you thinking about a murder? Think about it long enough and you will accomplish it, but that doesn't mean you will get away with the tragedy. Good always wins, in spite of how Hollywood portrays the unjust. This is because good is much more powerful than evil. Love comes from goodness, because God is good. Even when a tragic life situation happens that many call bad, good always gives birth. I can say always, because I have made this a lifelong study and observation with life circumstances. This depends upon the heart of the individual and where they are at, during this process. Sometimes, it takes a long time for some of those rare flowers to bloom. Remember, it takes a lot of heat and pressure to produce a diamond. In saying this, there are a lot of diamonds in the rough out there. I certainly was one of them!
Here are some examples of evil
