No more waiting for a price check. No more endless searching for something you aren't even sure the store carries. Now that's an advantage we can all use.

5. Photo Sharing- This is one of my favorites. I can share pictures of all my grandchildren with a few clicks of the mouse. The best advantage of this is that you don't have to get five copies of the same picture so that everyone can have one. You can email it to them. You can upload it to one of the many websites that allows you to use their resources so that you don't have to take up your own. Then you just let your people know where to find them. The even better part is that they can grab those pictures and either keep them on their computer or have them printed out themselves. What a great money saver for you.

6. Directions- Do you need to go someplace and you want directions because you just aren't sure how to get there. It's made much easier these days. All you have to do is go to Google Maps or Mapquest and type in the addresses. You will get directions right up to the doorstep. You no longer have to try and figure out a map.

7. Banking/Investing- You can do pretty much everything on the internet now. That includes doing your banking and investing in things. You no longer have to wait for the bank to open in order to find out the information on your account. Do you want to know what the balance is in your account? Just jump online and go to your banks website. That is where you can find out all the information that you need about your account.

8. Earn money- Millions of people have figured out ways to supplement their paychecks with online activities. Some have even figured out how to make their living completely from being online. There are many opportunities available in order to do this. Once you find the right thing, you can at the very least make some extra money for your holiday shopping expenses.

There are thousands upon thousands of things that you can do on the internet. The advantages are overwhelming. Living without the internet in this day and age would be equivalent to living without inside plumbing. In order to keep up with the world in the easiest possible way you must be hooked to the internet.
